Ephoto 1.5 Released

Ephoto 1.5 has been released and it is available at the following links:

This is a bugfix release that also contains a slight change to the interface of Ephoto.  The main interface is no longer using the translucent overlay panels for file browsing and such.  It is now using standard elementary widgets and no longer hovers over other items hiding your images.  This release also fixes the issues with compiling and running Ephoto with EFL 1.20.  This release will bridge the gap between 1.0 and 2.0.

Here are some screenshots of the slight interface change:

Here is a log of the changes since the 1.0 Release:

  1. On my comment, just posted, the BBS software ‘stripped out’ the standard keypress-nomenclature that should have appeared in my examples for the usual shortcut keystrokes to exit programs. What is missing: what appears as an isolated ‘Q’ was actually entered as ‘less-than’ Q ‘greater-than’. And so forth, for the other examples. I could resubmit the post using square-brackets, but I hope with this explanation whoever reads the post may be able to work back to what was actually entered! 😉

    1. Thanks for your reply. When you have Ephoto open, you can click on the settings icon in the bottom right corner – this will bring up this popup dialog: https://i0.wp.com/smhouston.us/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/shot-2017-08-22_07-53-57.jpg … as you can see from the screenshot, there is a list item “Bindings” in the left pane. Click that and it will provide you the full list of bindings that Ephoto uses. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for bindings that need to be added.

  2. I am looking for documentation on the ePhoto shortcut keys: for one example, when the main window is open, the only way I see for exiting the program is the ‘X’ in the upper-right corner.

I am trying the usual shortcuts, such as Q, Q and even f4, but nothing seems to work.
Would this, and related keyboard shortcuts for other mouseless-operations a user may wish to perform be available anywhere, and if ‘yes’ — a link, please?

  3. Yes, I know it is something I need to do. I’ve just never spent the time to do it as I didn’t think many people were using the Ephoto releases, rather they build it straight from git.
